April 2017 Beauty Favorites!

Hello, All I have been busy I moved, my main business is booming so I have not had the proper time to sit and blog more. But I will be getting back to the regular schedule this week! I am starting the week off with my April 2017 Beauty Favorites! I have been finding and trying many cool beauty products lately that I cannot wait to share with you. April I tried 4 stands out products that I haven’t stopped using since buying.  These products are each really great and they are all pretty affordable as well which is a win-win. So let’s get into my favorite beauty products of April…

1.Nia Gold Anti Wrinkle Day Serum – $7.99 at TJmaxx (if you can find it) or $65.00 on their website this serum is A M A Z I N G I used this for 4 weeks and it changed my skin for the better. This product helps to moisturize, firm, correct discoloration, and improve skin elasticity, It is very light weight and very moisturizing. My skin is dryer acne prone skin and this leaves my skin feeling so rejuvenated. No, I do not have any lines or wrinkles but I use it for the other benefits and its never too early to start a good routine :). So I highly recommend you try this serum!

2.E.L.F Highlighting HD Powder – $6.00 (I found this on the website but never in stores) So I love highlighter and was looking for a new one to try out and I was shopping on E.L.F and came across this highlighter. WOW, this highlighter is way more pigmented than their baked ones and picks up well on a good highlighter brush. I swipe the brush a few times in the pan than knock off any excess before applying and it goes on strong so watch out. If you are a highlighter junkie for $6.00 this is great definitely go to E.L.F’s site and buy one.

3.BH Cosmetics BH Liquid Lipsticks – $14.00 I am obsessed with liquid lipstick and everyone who loves me knows this! So when I saw ULTA had BH Cosmetics I was stoked because I wanted to try the liquid lips for awhile and I am glad that I did. BH Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick has a very velvety smooth formula it goes on like a dream and stays on forever. The colors are pretty I tried the color ‘Clara’ and it is my go to nude lippie. I plan to go cop more and if you love a good liquid lip you should too!

4.Hard Candy Color Correct Cushion Wonder – $6.00 To me these are a better formula than L.A Colors HD Color Correcter’s. Hard Candy has got my attention because lately whenever I try something from them it is pretty damn good for the affordability. Their newest launch has these color correctors and they work very very well! The only miss for me is that they need some color correctors for skin tones darker than mine (so medium brown tone). Besides that the peach one works for me beautifully, this color corrector really neutralizes dark spots and blends well into the skin. If you are looking to try a new color corrector try these!

I hope you enjoyed my April Beauty Favorites & I hope you try some or all of them!

Let me know of any beauty products I should try on social media or in the comments below.

The Importance of Practicing Gratitude

gratitude

Gratitude is something a lot of us do not practice on a regular basis let alone daily. Here I am going to talk about the importance of practicing gratitude on a daily basis to help you lead a fuller, more positive, and fruitful life. My personal story about how I came to learn to practice gratitude is this. When I was 8 that was the first time I was exposed to gratitude my mother used to keep a gratitude journal where every day she would write down 5 things she was thankful for no matter how hard the day was. My mom had been battling cancer and she began doing this as a positive practice to put herself into perspective that despite her illness she was blessed and had many things that not everybody has. Seeing my mom be so positive during a difficult time showed me that no matter what always give thanks and be thankful as often as you can. My mom was a pretty positive person no matter what she was going through, my mom taught be to be positive, strong, and not to give up. So me experiencing this shaped me to want to learn more about the practice of gratitude and how to incorporate it into my own life as an adult. I have learned that the point of practicing gratitude is to help you be happier, healthier, a better person to others, and centered. Below I have listed a few benefits of practicing gratitude…

5 Benefits of practicing Gratitude:
1.Improves your mental health

2.Improves your self-esteem

3.Enhances empathy & reduces aggression

4.Improves your physical health

5.Strengthens your emotions

How does gratitude help these things?

Gratitude is directly correlated to being more focused on the positive in life in the now which leads to bringing more positive into your life. Gratitude also helps you to focus on what matters and less on what doesn’t matter. Often times we waste energy dwelling on negative things which create and bring more negative things into our lives (law of attraction).

Ways to start practicing gratitude

So you’re asking how do I begin practicing gratitude? It is simple, Either every day commit a few minutes to say out loud 5 things you are thankful for or get a small notebook and write 5 things every day that you are grateful for even on the days it feels hard to be thankful. Make it a part of your everyday routine to start bringing the benefits of it making you a better person and bringing happiness into your life.

Examples: Today I am thankful for …

  • Waking up
  • Strawberry chapstick
  • Feeling energized today
  • being able to work for myself
  • having a roof over my head

I hope that this inspires you and helps you to incorporate practicing gratitude in your daily life. Gratitude has many benefits to create a better you and world around you let me know in the comments below!

March 2017 beauty favorites

march 2017 beauty favorites

Another month another beauty favorites this is one of my favorite posts to do every month because beauty is one of my loves. SO here we go with some of my favorite beauty products I used in March:

1. Wet N Wild Photofocus Setting Spray – OMG this is 4.00 and it is amazing I set my face with this and my makeup stays put since I have dry skin and do not use powder to set this really does the trick. This setting spray does come in a small bottle so you might want to buy two it is worth it.

2. L.A Colors Eyeshadow Palette in Nude – For $1.00 this is sooo good it is very pigmented and blends well the colors are really pretty, and perfect for warm skin tones and that’s what drew me to the palate in the first place. I have been looking for a palette that can create multiple looks that isn’t huge and bulky especially for travel, this is perfect. So either go online or go to dollar tree and pick this up today.

3.Yes to Coconuts Lip Cooling Oil – So I will say this first I do not like this for day wear BUT night time overnight wear it is great and you will wake up with really hydrated lips. So My tip is apply before bed and boom there’s your hydration for your lips. It is also all natural ingredients so it’s perfect 🙂

4.Ellen Tracy Pretty Petals Perfume – I am a fragrance junkie and have favs maybe I’ll do a post soon on them but this is a new one that I like a lot! It is so pretty and fresh for spring and summer with soft floral notes it is not too strong or overpowering! This gem was about $7.99 at TJmaxx and online I found it for $12.00 so it is super affordable as well.

I hope you try out some of this list let me know what you think and what products you have been trying or want me to try in the comments below
